Knitted Beanie Hat Handspun Wool

Grab 1 skein of handspun yarn, I used approx 100g for this one, cast on 70 stitches using no 6mm needles K1,P1 ribbing for 10 rows, then stocking stitch  for 30-40 rows then time to decrease at the top, I did this by K2, K2tog all way round, then K2tog on every round until you have 5 or so sts left, then thread the yarn through the last stitches and tie off.  you have a wee hat finished in less than 3 hours.

Knitting on big needles

great way for using up all the odd balls of yarn
I have knitted  another very chunky scarf, knitted on 27mm needles, and used 3 strands of different yarns,  3 hours to complete the scarf.

Felt Shopping Bag

I was using up balls of yarn that I bought as a job lot and decided this would become a shopper type bag, knitted in the round, with the handles grafted together, I threw the finished piece in the washing machine with a pair of jeans just so it would firm up a bit, It has not felted too much thankfully.
