hand Knitted Sweater for wearing with the Kilt

I finished the sweater I started on the 5th of May....this was a custom request for a chap who wear's the kilt.  For the sweater I used my Harris Wool plied and twisted and knitted up with 5mm needles.

This shows close-up for the collar, he wanted a button closure so I hope he'll be pleased with this, already gone over the minch so will wait for his thoughts.  The sweater is hand knitted to his measurements.

More info can be found on here http://www.hebrideanknitwear.co.uk  where you can also buy the harris wool

Harris Wool Sweater from 30 years ago

Ok the photo is not perfect neither is the waistcoat up close I can see a few mistakes but hey it' over 30 years old.  This was sold as a piece from Scalpay Knitwear the community knitting co-operative (not running anymore)  and not sure who knitted it but great to get a pic.  It was knitted using Harris Wool and it is soft to the touch, looks like it was well cared for.
