WHAT ABOUT MY FELT BAG THAT'S DONE TOO

I had this on the needles as well, Again I made it up as I was going along and used 2 strands of my wool from Uruguay. I like the shape of this bag, It was too wide at the top so before I threw it in the machine I sewed the sides to gather them as you can see just below the handles and it totally changed the look of the bag. just hope Nina does not see it as it's her colour...

HAVE ALSO BEEN DYEING SOCK YARN

I had a request for the grey/gold/slate/mustard shade of sock yarn and managed to get it done this week and also get it dried outside considering the rain we have had this past week. as always I dye one hank at a time and whatever colour I'm in the mood for, I have also added these to my website (with enlarged photos) Tomorrow I shall get the other sock yarn photographed again so I can add enlarged photos to them, so I hope this will help with any decisions my buyers make.

A PAIR OF WELLY BOOT SOCKS

This week has been a good knitting week or shall we say finishing week, I have had these on the needles in the last week, finished them last night and washed and pressed ready for his feet. I want to try and finish all I have on my needles before the end of next week, so wish me luck. remember the black sock yarn I used for the kilt socks (oh by the way they were a hit, all sizes fitted and will be worn next week at the wedding, I hope to get a pic of all the boys together, when I say boys I mean Uncle B***** and his boys) well I uses 1 strand of the 6ply black sock yarn which I think was a 80/20 blend, and also a strand of Lana Grossa Furetto col no 015, this is a blend of 76% wool/14% acrylic and 10% alpaca. So I do hope they will be warm. I've also put these on my website so if anyone wants to order a pair get in touch..

The Scalpay Linen Bags

Go here if you want to see the bags, Sheila hads taken some good photos of them individually. And she is not going to keep them hiding Sheila=YOU WILL SELL THEM... personally me thinks she's a closet hoarder as she hides her stash of fabric, and if you don't want to buy the bags but the fabric then send her an email and I'm sure she will consider selling it.
go on then have a look..

SCALPAY LINEN TOTE BAGS

I was playing with linen today, well linsey woolsey to be honest, thinks that's how it's spelt. I made these 6 bags for Sheila at Scalpay Linen. the fabric was woven by Sheila herself on the Isle of scalpay, If you go to her link on my blog then no doubt she will be adding the finished bags onto her etsy shop. I hope she does as you will get a better pic from her, I just cannot get this fabric to look right in my photos. I'm doing something wrong.

FINALLY KNITTED THE BLACK KILT SOCKS

yippee.....I have finished the black kilt socks, much as I like knitting kilt socks, black does nothing for me..... these are for Uncle B***** and his grandson and they are going over the Clisham as I write...Oh I do hope they fit..

SOCK STOP

SOCK STOP.
This is a liquid that you dot or whirl on the soles of your socks when finished, It gives them a bit of grip on the floor, My wee guy does not keep his slippers on so I thought this would do the trick. Here is a pic of the sole of his socks.
When my wee girl saw them she now wants a pair in light blue and I'm knitting an adult pair as well to see how they go.
This is where I bought mine from, I bought a tube of the white and blue.

ANOTHER PAIR OF WEE BOOT/SLIPPER SOCKS

OK it's dark outside, rained for most of the day, got my kilt socks to the heel and then this wee pair I started at our knitting group meet-up on wed night, I was dyeing to finish them as I wanted to try this Sock Stop out. I've not used it before and wondered if it works. I knitted a wee pair of boot socks for my wee guy, in my pure wool bulky I used 1 x 100g, in this tweedy effect dark grey, on 4.5mm needles. Approx 140 yards per 100g, 3.5-4 stitch per inch. I shall posting a pic tomorrow of the finished sock, hopefully...... Oh the sock on the left is on the sock blocker and the piece of card has been cut so it will fit inside the slipper so this sock stop does not go all the way through.
Leave me a comment if you have used it..

Will it ever end?

I am on the final kilt sock, this is for the 5 year old grandson of my Uncle B*****'s and to be honest I'm glad there are no more black to knit...I tried knitting at night just to get them done.. Bad move as in the morning noticed my mistake and could not fix it without frogging.....doh. won't be knitting black again at night....I did manage to get to the heel today as I sat all morning knitting, not guilty as it was lashing outside and a day for sitting by the fire..This pic shoes the first kilt sock done and I sure hope they will be heading over the Clisham on Monday when Unc comes to visit.. Tomorrow I finish the foot, press and just wait...
FOR NINA=Frogging is ripping the work back, ie rip-it as in frog!!
I hate doing this but needs must, at the heel of the other kilt sock now so by monday they will be ready yippee.......
