FELT BAG

This is another of my felt bags, I am using up my large stash of odd skeins, this bag took 2 x 100g and made up the pattern as I was going along.In the top photo I unraveled the cast on stitches, and then knitted together so this was a 3 needle bind off, which has given it a neater finish and wee hills on the bottom of the bag, the handles were knitted as 8 stitch i-cords from the main part of the bag.
2nd photo shows the cast/bind off.

And the finished bag after it was in the washing machine. I forgot to turn it the right side out but am still delighted with the results. you can just make out the hills on the bottom of the bag, very effective.

FINALLY FINISHED MY TOP DOWN BABY CARDIGAN

Off the needles, a wee baby cardigan, knitted from the top down finished the last sleeve last night while watching Trawler men. I knitted the collar, pressed and added buttons this morning. For the baby cardi I used my own hand dyed sock yarn and I am really liking the effect, very unusual. I only dye 100g at any one time in the same shade so this leaves the garment totally unique. I have enough of the yarn left over for a wee hat and boots. THIS WILL FIT NEWBORN-6 MONTHS
As I have no-one to give this to I am selling it.
PRICE=£16.00 INC POSTAGE WORLDWIDE.
And if you want hat & boots to match then price will be

DYEING WOOL AND KNITTING

OK so I have been really quiet this last weeks I'm afraid, popping more pills as the pain in my back is getting to the stage where I can't go on any longer without them, the pills help for a while so I did some dyeing this week, again it is sock yarn and I used the landscape dyes from the Netherlands, I think the colours are great, I also did a couple more skeins which I'm not putting up for sale as I'm going to knit them. These will be listed in my webstore which is www.calanacrafts.co.uk
I shall try and get this done today sometime.
For knitting this is what I did, A gorgeous scarf, got the pin from a store on ebay and the colour of the head is just the perfect colour.
I just used 100g of my merino aran which I dyed for this scarf, and knitted it over the week, If I make another one I will use 200g to make it longer.
