SWEATER IS FINISHED

The photo shows the back of the sweater, I hung it on the washing line and it keeps blowing to the bak, front pics can be found on ebay auction. I quite like the saddle shoulders altho they were a bit of a nuisance to finish off. I knitted the stitches from the back shoulder to the saddle which worked out OK.
I love this shade and have more for another sweater.
This should fit a 38" chest comfortably and is unisex.
I knitted this sweater using 100% merino worsted wool handpainted in Uruguay, and it is so soft, I have put it up for auction as a charity auction as I am donating 10% of the final price to a hospice if it sells of course, I have decided that if I sell my handknits on ebay I will donate to this one charity, the hospice is in Paisley, Renfrew. More info on my listing here

IDIOT'S LANTERN

Just been looking to see if John has changed his photos and have noticed that his calender is due out soon for 2010. You have to check the Scalpay Lighthouse out, an absolutely stunning photo, click on his calander to get a larger photo, let me know what you think.

MORE HANDPAINTED WOOL & BEANIE HAT

Off the needles, this wee beanie hat knitted with sock yarn, and will fit a child age 2, although it looks quite cute on the Koala
And another selection of handpainted yarns, 5 of the skeins are sock yarn and the other 2 is merino aran, have listed them on ebay so if you are interested as always I will end any auction that has a bid. http://shop.ebay.co.uk/merchant/calanacrafts5 should get you to my listings. Lots of handpainted dyed wool and also Harris Tweed patchwork pieces, Weather is so awful I think I'll spend the day knitting. Good excuse?

MORE HARRIS TWEED BAGS

MAGNETIC BUTTONS
I just got these today as I was not sure they would be the right buttons, I saw Hebrides Felt using them and decided to get some for my wee bags. I will be getting more.
they were pretty hard to get for some reason. Now for a bundle of small harris Tweed Bags, you can see the difference in the poppers and the magnetic buttons, I will definately buy more of these. I am just using up the Harris Tweed pieces I have in my stash,
There are days I can't get near my sewing machine but today I managed to get these all done and have sewn all the buttons this evening. And my stash of Harris Tweed has certainly been dented.
A good variety of colours.

Some that will probably be never woven again.
